I was asked Sunday by our President Mr. Kelvin Webster, Greater Marietta Chapter , to provide some words about Mr. Arnold Moore, A charter member of the Greater Marietta Chapter from 2001 - 2007.

Arnold was one of the early foot soldiers that fought the good battle against racism and unjust treatment of people within DOD. Arnold was a Vietnam Veteran, a family man and and a pillar of his community in Decatur, Georgia. His focus was on the young people and therefore it was fitting for him to teach Sunday school at his church.

Arnold was a person of high values and a man with integrity. As a doer of the word he was part of the triple threat ministry that we had and needed to overcome the many obstacles that we encountered. Arnold, Darlene and Fred made up our prayer core and he will be missed. See back in those days you were not just a member but you were part of a family and our family required constant prayer.

Arnold's broad smile and his words of encouragement will always be remembered as well as his words of wisdom. Please find a picture of Arnold along with members of the chapter during one of our Black History Programs. Arnold is the gentleman with the broad smile in the back with a tie on.

Respects to the family of Arnold his wife Mary and his children

He will be truly missed.

Mr. Bill Ross
