Juanita Connie Johnson was born August 4, 1954. She went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 19, 2006.

Juanita was educated in the District of Columbia Public Schools where she graduated from Spingarn High School. She attended the University of the District of Columbia and received a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in Business Manage-ment.

Juanita worked for C&P Telephone Company. She joined Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), Department of Nursing in May 1985. She served with distinction at Wal-ter Reed Army Medical Center for more than 21 years. Dur-ing her career at WRAMC she rose from a Medical Records Technician in the Dermatology Clinic to an Administrative Coordinator for Perioperative Nursing Service. Juanita earned many awards during her career; the latest was an Achieve-ment Medal for Civilian Service. While working at WRAMC she took on the responsibility of re-establishing the Walter Reed Army Medical Center of Black In Government Chapter (BIG). She was also a member of the Federal Employed Woman (FEW).
